Blind in Business

Friday 29 November 2019

1pm to 4pm

2nd Floor

Richard Desmond Children’s Eye Centre

3 Peerless St

Parents, carers, young people, friends and family are all welcome to attend!

This parents workshop is your chance to learn more, from young, blind and visually impaired people who are working in modern careers.  You will have the opportunity to meet these people from a variety of backgrounds, who have been in mainstream education and special education throughout the UK.  These role models will share their views and opinions on their education, finding work, the technology they use, what support they have and what experiences they’ve had throughout their lives.

This workshop will give you the opportunity to learn more about the interesting careers blind and visually impaired people are doing.

You are more than welcome to join this FREE parents workshop.  You can also learn more about the work that Blind in Business offers all over the UK, training with young school children, working with undergraduates and graduates and also offering assistance to employers, bridging the gap between the people we help and those who offer them jobs.

I look forward to you confirming your place. You are welcome to pass on this information to people you feel would benefit from attending!
