We are pleased to introduce our next set of Employability Skills Workshops, launching this March!
Introducing: Building Prospects 2
Building Prospects 2 is the continuation of our peer-led series of interactive workshops designed to empower blind and partially sighted young people to explore their futures with confidence.
Each session will support participants to:
Build confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment
Explore individual career interests and aspirations
Develop essential employability and transferable skills
Learn from others’ experiences and share ideas
Build new friendships along the way
What skills will be gained?
By the end of the programme, participants will also have practical tools to help them move forward, including:
How to map out a realistic and personalised career plan
Where and how to develop transferable skills
Understanding and articulating their digital and assistive technology needs
Knowing where to find work experience, training, and future opportunities
Developing independent living skills relevant to the workplace
Interview skills through mock interview practice with real-life employers
Who are the sessions for?
Blind and partially sighted young people
aged 13–18
Curious, motivated, and keen to explore future career options

Format: Remote (via Zoom)
Dates: Thursday 5th March – Thursday 2nd April 2026
Time: 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Duration: One hour per session
